Sex Ed Podcast/Video Series!!

I'm officially a  # sexgeek ! Finally got my @reidaboutsex shirt. I figured it was time to update my social media pictures, too :P Why am I a sex geek? Because I am devoted to continuously educating myself and others about our bodies. I want to help others the way I have needed help in the past. I want to be a person someone can come to when they need advice or just to rant. Starting later this month, I'll be launching a video/podcast series. It will start out with episodes on basic anatomy and functions of the human body (in regards to sexu al development), as well as cover current events in the sex world. I'm hoping to get some interviews and other interesting things going, too. If education and supporting people who want to educate is something that is important to you, please check out my page and share with others. I appreciate all of the support I've gotten thus far and I hope you all continue to support me as I try new things!! Facebook.com/Th...

The Sex Kitten presents...Sex-Ed Class!!

I've had my blog for about five years now, and many of you readers know that I am not the most consistent of posters. I can’t lie--I’m not easily motivated and I’m too easily discouraged. The current state of affairs in America definitely leaves something to be desired for nearly every type of person. I’ve always been a very laid-back, non-confrontational person and discovering how many people aren’t like that really hit me hard. It made me want to crawl into bed and never interact with humans again. My mother got pregnant with me shortly after turning 18--my father was only 16. Despite this, I was not given a clear explanation of what sex was or how I should deal with it. My father was extremely sexist. He would routinely joke with my younger brother about ‘titties’ and sleeping with sexy women while condemning any interest I had in boys. He did not believe that gay people should be allowed to be together and was adamant that they absolutely should not be allowed to adopt chil...

What I Learned By (Not) Being A Sex Therapist

I realized that I never use this in a way to just talk. And I really like to talk. I usually have a topic and then write about it or push my Literotica stories. But, I think I want to talk about my blog as a whole and how I feel about continuing on in this field. I never try to look sexy, because this is what happens when I do.  When people want to be a hairdresser, they cut their friend's hair. When they want to be a teacher, they tutor kids. When they want to be a chef, they cook yummy food all the time. So, what does someone who wants to  be a sex therapist do? Not what you'd think. I have a lot of people assume it means I just want to have sex all the time. I mean, sex is great. But that's not what I'm trying to do. Honestly, I find it all fascinating. The way we can take one glance at someone and want to jump their bones, or how two people can mutually feel that. Think about it--attraction is fucking fascinating! And if you've ever been with someone phys...

Surrogate Sex Partners

This is less of an educational post and more of an explanation/opinion post. A friend of mine sent me a link to this article from FoxNews about surrogate sex partners. What is it? Well, basically, when a person is in therapy for sexual/intimacy problems, a secondary form of therapy could be to have a surrogate to 'teach' the patient how to become intimate with someone else and how to have sex in a healthy way. This means a woman can learn how to relax and have an orgasm, a man can try and help his erectile dysfunction, and someone who is socially inept can learn how to be physical with someone. It's not like these people go in and just have sex with someone. These surrogates are employed by the IPSA (International Professional Surrogates Association). It is a non-profit organization and it is $1,500 for the training. I'm assuming these people have background checks and STD testings. Therapists and surrogates work together to fully help the client. The therapist holds ...
